The Trusted Rate Assessment Consortium is made up of leading transportation providers who provide daily transactional data via direct integrations. SONAR uses this data to publish dry van, refrigerated and flatbed spot rates on hundreds of thousands of lanes. This data is found in the SONAR application for transportation providers, Market Dashboard+, as well as our benchmarking tool for shippers, Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI). Finally, TRAC data is aggregated to build the National Truckload Index.
TRAC produces the National Truckload Index (NTI) spot rate, which can be used for benchmarking, analyzing, monitoring and forecasting rates for brokers, carriers and shippers. The NTI is built on data collected daily from a consortium of key market-driving companies adhering to the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) standardized protocols. The NTI is constructed in accordance with a methodology and governance structure developed using best practices from the index provider industry.
