SONAR and Cargo Chief, Inc. have partnered to bring SONAR freight data directly into Cargo Chief’s carrier capacity and workflow platform. Customers using the Cargo Chief platform can now bring the SONAR APIs directly into their own workflows.
Here is what it means in practice: any mutual customer with an active SONAR subscription can now see TRAC spot rates, contract rates and SONAR Lane Scores right inside of Cargo Chief. Brokers won’t have to bounce between screens to check pricing and capacity anymore. The market data sits next to their own load history, right where they’re already making coverage calls.
With that data built in, brokers can score every lane, and set target rates for Cargo Chief’s booking assistant, which takes over the outreach, negotiation, and booking. The idea is that reps can move faster and book with more confidence in their margins, without leaving the tools they already use.
“Brokers already pay for SONAR and they already trust the numbers,” said Kirk Franzen, CEO of Cargo Chief. “The gap was that the number lived in one window and the coverage decision happened in another. Now a broker can see a lane score and TRAC rate sitting next to the carrier that already run that lane, and put our automated negotiation to work against it.”
“This fits the direction a lot of freight tech is heading; getting real-time data at the fingertips of the person making the call, at the moment they are making it,” said Nick Persin, Director of Strategic Partnerships at SONAR.
The integration is now live. Cargo Chief customers who want to access the integration should reach out to their SONAR rep or contact gosonar.com.
